What do you think? My opinion? Sadly, many sellers are not in line with current market conditions. They still feel they should get a high price for "their" home. They have improved the home over the years and feel they deserve to be paid for their investment. What they fail to understand is the market sets home prices, not the agent and not the seller. If you bought a stock some time ago and paid $50 a share for it, but the market now says it is only worth $40 a share, what are you going to get for the stock? We all know it will only bring $40 a share. People tend to get way to emotionally invloved in their home and they separate themselves from the reality of the current market. Their home stays on the market for a very long time and they tend to then blame the agent because he/she cannot get them any good offers. Not quite fair but certainly a reflection of many in the current market.
